Lieutenant General Muhammad Waseem Ashraf is a retired three-star general of the Pakistan Army who served as Corps Commander of II Corps in Multan and XII Corps in Quetta.

Military career
Ashraf was commissioned into the Frontier Force Regiment of the Pakistan Army.
In 2019, he was appointed as the Corps Commander of XII Corps in Quetta, succeeding Lieutenant General Asim Saleem Bajwa.[1]
In November 2020, Ashraf was transferred to command II Corps in Multan.[2]
Following his tenure as Corps Commander, Ashraf was appointed as the Director General of the Joint Staff Headquarters.[3]
In November 2022, Ashraf retired from active service. At the time of his retirement, he was the senior-most lieutenant general in the Pakistan Army.[4]
