Way Kanan Regency is a landlocked regency (kabupaten) of Lampung Province, Sumatra, Indonesia. It was created on 20 April 1999 from what were formerly the northern and northwestern districts of North Lampung. It has an area of 3,522.54 km2 and had a population of 406,123 at the 2010 census[2] and 473,575 at the 2020 census;[3] the official estimate as at mid 2024 was 495,058 (comprising 253,309 males and 241,749 females).[1] The administrative centre lies at the town of Blambangan Umpu.

At the time of the 2010 and 2020 Censuses, the regency was divided into fourteen districts (kecamatan), but subsequently a fifteenth district (Umpu Semenguk) was created from part of the Blambangan Umpu District. All fifteen districts are listed below with their areas and their populations at the 2010 census[2] and the 2020 census,[3] together with the official estimates as at mid 2024.[1] The table also includes the locations of the district administrative centres, the number of administrative villages in each district (totaling 224 rural desa and 8 urban kelurahan), and its post code.
