College career
During his first season in 2023, he would use the season to redshirt, appearing in just three games.[4] Formby made his first collegiate start in week one of the 2024 season, in a win over Western Kentucky.[5] In week two, he struggled allowing five pressures and racking up four penalties in the win over South Florida, resulting in him being benched for the remainder of the season.[6] During the 2024 season, Formby played in eight games while making two starts.[7] Heading into the 2025 season, he is expected to be the Crimson Tide's starting right tackle.[8][9]
