Windrose Technology is a Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer specializing in zero-emission heavy-duty trucks.[1] Founded in China,[2] the company is known for its global expansion strategy, particularly into the United States and Europe.[1] Windrose Technology was founded in 2022 by Wen Han, who serves as the company's Chairman and CEO.[2][3]

Windrose Technology was founded for developing electric heavy-duty trucks, including Class 8 models designed for long-haul freight. In 2023, the company secured $110 million in funding to support vehicle development and expansion into international markets.[1][4]

In late 2023, Windrose revealed plans to list on a U.S. stock exchange.[5] In October 2024, the company reportedly doubled its IPO fundraising goal with growing investor interest.[3][6] In July 2024, it announced plans to establish a truck assembly plant in Georgia, marking a rare move by a Chinese EV manufacturer to produce vehicles in the U.S.[7] The company is also exploring production capabilities in Europe, including potential operations in Flanders, Belgium, although the Flemish government declined to invest in the proposed factory in Antwerp.[8][9] In 2024, Windrose also partnered with industrial real estate company Goodman Group to develop electric vehicle fast-charging infrastructure for heavy-duty trucks in Europe, furthering its logistics capabilities.[10]
