The Working For Workers Five Act, 2024 (French: Loi de 2024 visant à oeuvrer pour les travailleurs, cinq) is an act of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario relating to labour rights.

Provisions
The definition of "industrial establishment" in the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA) was amended to exclude private residences.[1] OHSA was also amended to apply to telework "performed in or about a private residence".[1] This means that employees would be protected against virtual or online workplace harassment.[2]
The act makes firefighters, investigators and volunteers eligible for presumptive Workplace Safety and Insurance Board coverage for primary site skin cancer after 10 years of service, compared to the existing requirement of 20 years.[3]
The maximum fine for convictions under the Employment Standards Act are increased to CA$100,000 from the previous maximum of CA$50,000.[2]
Under amendments to the Employment Standards Act, if an employee is sick, an employer can no longer request a certificate from a "qualified health practitioner".[2]
Employers are required to retain copies of every publicly advertised job posting for a period of three years following the ending of public access to the post, under the legislation.[4]
The legislation requires period products to provided at construction sites.[5]

Commencement
On December 3, 2024 the legislation came into force.[6]
