Writesonic is a company that develops artificial intelligence tools for content creation. It was founded by Samanyou Garg in October 2020 and is based in San Francisco.[1] The platform uses GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 technologies.[2][3][4]

History
Originally known as Magicflow, Writesonic secured seed funding of $2.5 million from various investors, including Y-Combinator, HOF Capital, and Soma Capital. The company's technology is designed to generate content using AI models.[2][3][5]
The company was involved with a scandal surrounding the Academy Award winning film Navalny, about Alexei Navalny, when it was revealed that The Grayzone published an article by journalist Lucy Komisar where she claimed she used Writesonic to produce inaccurate information in the review.[6][7][8]
