Xu Ruohan (Chinese: 徐若晗; born 27 February 1998) is a Chinese actress and model. She is known for her debut role in the film Vanguard (2020), for the series Perfect And Casual, The Hope, The Forbidden Flower, and The Best Thing.[1][2]

Early life
Xu was born on 27 February 1998, in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, China.[3] She was interested in drawing and aimed to publish an illustrated book or comic documenting her childhood.[4] She took the art exam and was admitted to the Beijing Film Academy, later graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in animation production.[5]
Career
In 2018, while at university, Xu was recommended for a film audition and discovered by Jackie Chan, subsequently signing with an artist agency and taking her first acting role in his unreleased art film My Diary.[6] In 2020, she was again invited by Jackie Chan to play the lead role of Fareeda, the daughter of a terrorist organization’s accountant, in the action thriller film Vanguard.[7] She starred as lead in the Mango TV romance web series Perfect and Casual.[8]
In 2022, Xu as lead starred in Luo Luo's romance film Almost Love, starring alongside Li Wenhan as a pair of longtime high school sweethearts.[4] She also starred in the web series Out with a Bang and Catch Up My Prince.[9][10]
In 2023, Xu gained further recognition in the romance series The Forbidden Flower, portraying "He Yan", a terminally ill artist who falls for an older man played by Jerry Yan;[11] her natural performance and onscreen chemistry were well received.[12] In 2024, she participated in the second season of Memories Beyond Horizon, an acting-themed contesting variety show, as one of the contestants.[13]
