Yogesh Kumar Tyagi

Yogesh Kumar Tyagi is an Indian academic who served as the University of Delhi's 22nd vice-chancellor between March 2016 and March 2021.[1][2] Furthermore, he served as the Dean of the South Asian University's Faculty of Legal Studies (FLS), where he established a department for International Law. Tyagi has published many articles in international journals, including a work on the United Nations Human Rights Committee (Cambridge University Press).

Education
Tyagi obtained his Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Columbia Law School (CLS), New York. Moreover, he received a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi.[1]
Career
Tyagi served as a professor of international law at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, a member of the Institut de Droit International, and a member of the Law Commission of India. Adding to that, he was appointed the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Delhi, serving from March 2016 to March 2021.[3]
