History
The theatre is housed inside a converted Edwardian chapel on Barnsbury Road, and has been a home for the dramatic arts since 1972.[1]
Formerly the site of the Anna Scher Theatre, the building was reorganised and renamed the "Young Actors Theatre" in 2005 in order to meet the goals of the charity without Scher.[2]
In 2014, actor Andy Serkis became the president for the organisation, serving in the capacities of both sponsor and ambassador on behalf of the charity.[3]
