Yuma is a home rule municipality that is the most populous municipality in Yuma County, Colorado, United States.[2] The population was 3,456 at the 2020 census.[6]

History
A post office in Yuma has been in operation since 1885.[8] The community was named after a Native American named Yuma who worked for the railroad, died and is buried near the town site.[9]
On August 8, 2023, a tornado touched down near the town, damaging farms.[10]
The Yuma School's mascot is the Outlaws.
