   With a consonant, may be used to indicate a tap: e.g. ⟨ɢ̆ ʡ̆ ʎ̆ ʟ̆ n̆⟩.

2. (UPA) Short vowel (e.g. ă) or consonant (e.g. t̆ ); cf. superscripting for extra-short ᵃ, ᵗ.
