Internationalism literally, “science of stars” as a substitute for the common Hellenism ܐܲܣܛܪܘܿܢܘܿܡܝܼܵܐ (asṭrōnōmīyā). Possible calque of Arabic عِلْم الفَلَك (ʕilm al-falak).
