From (dare, who) + (mo, even, also, too, inclusive particle).

  1. (with negative verbs) no one, nobody
    そんなこと(だれ)()にしない
    Sonna koto wa dare mo ki ni shinai.
    No one cares about that.
  2. anyone, anybody
    (だれ)(いず)高齢者(こうれいしゃ)だ。
    Dare mo ga izure kōreisha da.
    Everyone gets old eventually.

Usage notes

Unless followed by another particle, the term 誰も (dare mo) is used in negative constructions. For use in positive constructions, an additional particle is needed, as shown in the usage examples above.
