Suffix

-esar

  1. passive suffix used with transitive verbs to form an intransitive verb with the transitive object as subject
    grantar (to grant) + -esargrantesar (to be granted)
  2. suffix used with adjectives to form an intransitive verb with the meaning of "to be (adjective)"
    apta (fit) + -esaraptesar (to be fit)

Usage notes

This suffix is equivalent to -ata (adjectival present passive participle ending) + esar for verbs or -a (adjective ending) + esar for adjectives.
