-inec m inan or m anim (noun-forming suffix)
- used to create nouns from nouns
- resulting term often has the meaning of a building intended to shelter animals or people denoted in the base word
- resulting term often has the meaning of an excrement produced by the animal denoted in the base word
- kobyla (“mare”) + -inec → kobylinec (“mare's excrement”)
- may create a noun from a pronoun or adjective
Usage notes
- The word našinec is probably the only case of this suffix added to a pronoun.
