    • 8 CE, Ovid, Fasti 5.79–80:
      tunc sīc, neglēctōs hederā redimitā capillōs,
      prīma suī coepit Calliopēa chorī
      Thus in this way, her unkempt hair wound in ivy,
      Calliope began, the first of her chorus.
