English

Noun

EC10 (uncountable)

  1. (historical) Collectively, the ten member states of the European Community (EC) from 1981 to 1985, after Greece joined the organization.
    • 2011 June, Robin Hertz, Dirk Leuffen, “Too big to run? Analysing the impact of enlargement on the speed of EU decision-making”, in European Union Politics, volume 12, number 2, SAGE Publications, →DOI, →ISSN, page 208:
In the case of the Greek enlargement of 1981, the coefficient (–1.24) is statistically significant. This indicates that, once an act has remained within the negotiation process for 100 days, decision-making was slower in the EC10 than in the EC9.
