     Circe entendoit fort bien la vertu des herbes, & inuenta les breuuages pour faire aymer, & fut mariee à Scythe Roy des Sarmates, quelle fiſt mourir de poiſon: & pour ceſte cauſe eſtant chaſſee des citoyens, elle ſ’en fuyt en ie ne ſçay quelle Iſle de l’Oceã toute deſerte: ou (comme aucuns eſcriuent) en vn promontoire qu’on appelle de ſon nom Circee. Il y a d’aucũs qui penſent que Circee ſoit vn^[sic] Iſle, mais c’eſt vn promontoire formé à la mode d’vne Iſle, comme dit Strabon.
