Cognate to English Tiw, Latin deus, Irish dia, Breton doue, Welsh duw, Persian دیو, Parthian 𐫅𐫏𐫇 (dyw) Avestan 𐬛𐬀𐬉𐬎𐬎𐬀 (daēuua), Sogdian 𐼹𐼷𐼴 (δyw), Sanskrit देव (devá), Finnish taivas and Aramaic דיוא.
