Probably from Ginang, possibly from a female equivalent of form ginoong (ginoo + -ng) when attached with names (e.g. Ginoong Dela Cruz) through the influence of Spanish grammatical gender logic. See also Tagalog gining, lolo~lola, mayor~mayora, manong~manang, ninong~ninang, etc.
