- (mathematics) linear:
- (expert jargon) somehow relating to algebraic structures of the type module or vector space
- (of a mapping between modules or vector spaces) homomorphic with respect to the structure in question
- Por ke bildigo f inter vektoraj spacoj estu lineara, sufiĉas, ke f(x + α × y) = f(x) + α × f(y), kiuj ajn estas x, y, α. ― For a mapping f between vector spaces to be linear, it is sufficient, that f(x + α × y) = f(x) + α × f(y), for any value of x, y, α.
