  1. to roast, fry or bake something a little, for a short time
    lai nu maize vēl pacep! ― may the bread (be) baked a little further!
    uzber sīpoliem karoti miltu, vēl pacep, atšķaida ar buljonu ― he sprinkles a spoonful of flour on the onions, then he fries it a little, then he dilutes it with the (chicken) broth
    sīpolu nomizo, sagriež un apcep sviestā, pieber miltus, vēl pacep pāris minūšu ― he peels the onion, chops it and fries it in butter, he then adds flour and fries it on for a few more minutes
