Affixed diri + se- (probably through affixed Old Javanese aṅḍiri, aṇḍiri (“to stand; to be functional, to reign; standing alone; outstanding”), probably ultimately from Sanskrit [Term?] instead of Malay diri directly), inherited from Malay sendiri.
