    1. Any fish in the percoid genus Datnioides.

    3. Any of the species Hoplias malabaricus and related characins in the family Erythrinidae.
    4. Any of the genus Pterois of east Asian lionfishes.
    5. (Guyana) Any of the family Pimelodidae of catfishes.
    6. (Africa) Any fish in the genus Hydrocynus of characins.
    7. (East Africa) A cichlid of species Rhamphochromis longiceps, native to the Lake Malawi basin.
    8. (Asia) jarbua terapon and related species in the family Terapontidae.
