Su verdadero nombre era Ethelbert Edwards, y nació en Weston-super-Mare, Inglaterra.
Como actor participó en un total de 81 filmes entre 1915 y 1952, y en su función de director trabajó en 67 títulos entre 1915 y 1937. Edwards estuvo casado con la actriz Chrissie White, con la cual coprotagonizó varias de sus películas.[1]
Henry Edwards falleció en 1952 en Chobham, Inglaterra.[1]
