Fukuin prefektuuri (jap. 福井県, Fukui-ken) sijaitsee Chūbun alueella Honshūn saaren länsirannikolla Japanissa. Prefektuurin pääkaupunki on Fukui, ja se rajoittuu Ishikawan, Gifun, Shigan ja Kioton prefektuureihin. Sen asukasluku on 799 000[3] (vuonna 2012) ja pinta-ala 4 190,52 neliökilometriä[2]

Prefektuuri on vuoristoinen, ja sen ilmastolle ovat tyypillisiä runsaat sateet, kosteus ja runsaslumiset talvet. Alueen tärkein nähtävyys on Eihei-Ji, zen-buddhalaisen sōtō-koulukunnan päätemppeli.
Fukuin prefektuuri jakautuu yhdeksään kaupunkiin ja kahdeksaan muuhun kuntaan, jotka ovat kaikki maaseutukaupunkeja. Kunnat kuuluvat seitsemään piirikuntaan, joilla ei ole hallinnollista merkitystä.[2]

Ennen prefektuurin muodostamista vuonna 1871 alue koostui Wakasan ja Echizenin vanhoista provinsseista. Prefektuurin pääkaupunki Fukui on perustettu 1500-luvulla.
