AFI on yhdysvaltalainen rock-yhtye, jonka varhaiset EP:t ja albumit olivat tyyliltään hardcore-punkia. Jade Pugetin liittyminen yhtyeeseen 1998 ja vuoden 1999 albumi Black Sails in the Sunset merkitsivät muutosta yhtyeen musiikille ja myöhemmät albumit toivat yhtyeen ilmaisuun elementtejä muun muassa elektronisesta musiikista, glam-rockista ja alternative-rockista. Yhtye kasvatti mainettaan energisenä punk-yhtyeenä ensin paikallisesti, mutta muuntautumiskykyinen ja aina musiikillisesti uudistuva AFI onnistui lyömään itsensä läpi ympäri maailman, josta suurin kiitos vuoden 2003 menestysalbumille Sing The Sorrow, joka pelkästään kotimaassaan on myynyt liki 2 miljoonaa kappaletta.
