Benimaclet é o nome que recibe o distrito número 14 e un barrio da cidade de Valencia. A súa poboación era de 30.626 habitantes no 2009.[1]
Benimaclet áchase na parte norte da cidade, limita ao oeste co barrio de Orriols, ao norte co municipio de Alboraya, e co segundo cinto de rolda de Valencia (tradicionalmente chamado camiño de Tránsitos) ao sur. Na actualidade, o antigo municipio de Benimaclet conforma un distrito da cidade de Valencia, que engloba o antigo pobo e as zonas recentemente urbanizadas da súa ao redor, así como a zona na que se acha a Universidade Politécnica de Valencia, que se coñece como Vera. Coa finalización da rolda Norte de Valencia e a urbanización de terreo a horta vai desaparecendo.
Benimaclet tivo sempre unha entidade propia, coa súa igrexa, coa súa praza maior e cunha distribución de rúas moi similar á de calquera pobo da comarca de L'Horta. Aínda existen carteis nalgunhas rúas nos que pon literalmente "Poble de Benimaclet". Foi municipio independente desde os inicios do século XVI até a súa anexión a Valencia en 1878. Até 1970, data na que pasou a ser un barrio máis da cidade foi unha pedanía da cidade de Valencia. A súa proximidade ás universidades literaria e politécnica de Valencia fixéronlle contar sempre cunha numerosa poboación estudantil.
Benimaclet foi unha das zonas da cidade con maior tradición asociativa, a Associació de Veïns de Benimaclet foi unha das máis importantes da cidade na época de maior auxe do movemento veciñal, existen numerosos casais falleiros e tamén a Confraria do Crist da Providència de Benimaclet (unha entidade fundada no século XVI e que actualmente persiste organizando as festas patronais no mes de setembro). É tamén un dos barrios da cidade onde aínda se escoita falar maioritariamente o catalán nas súas rúas, nos comercios e no seu típico mercado.
Benimaclet tiña 30.448 habitantes en 2007, distribuídos entre dous barrios:
