As betaglobulinas son un grupo de proteínas globulares do plasma sanguíneo que son máis móbiles en solucións cargadas alcalinas ou cargadas electricamente que as gammaglobulinas, pero menos móbiles que as alfaglobulinas.[1][2][3]

Exemplos de betaglobulinas son:

Electroforese

O fraccionamento electroforético das proteínas sanguíneas ou urinarias mostra seis fraccións que van en orde de mobilidade: prealbumina, seroalbumina, as α-globulina, β1–globulina, β2–globulina e as γ-globulinas.[4]

A concentración media das betaglobulinas en sangue é menor de 0,5 g/dl, mentres que a concentración de albumina é aproximadamente de 4,2 g/dl e a das alfaglobulinas de 1,5 g/dl.[4]
