Iatromantis[1] é unha palabra grega cuxo significado literal é "médico-vidente" ou "home-medicina". Iatromantis, unha forma de xamanismo grego, está relacionado con figuras semi-míticas como Abaris, Aristeas, Epiménides e Hermótimo.[2] No período clásico, Esquilo emprega o termo para referirse a Apolo[3] e a Asclepio, o fillo de Apolo.[4]
Segundo o estudoso Peter Kingsley, as figuras iatromantis pertencen a unha tradición xamánica máis ampla con orixe en Asia central.[5]
