Ichthyosaurus (palabra científica composta do grego ιχθυς peixe e σαυρος lagarto) é un xénero extinto de saurópsidos da orde dos ictiosaurios[2][3] que viviu no Xurásico inferior, no que hoxe é Europa occidental (Bélxica, Suíza, Alemaña, Illas Británicas) [4]

O holotipo Ichthyosaurus foi un dos fósiles mellor conservados do século XIX. Foi descuberto por Mary Anning en Inglaterra.[5]
