Henry Miller

Henry Valentine Miller (26 Desember 1891 – 7 Juni 1980 ) adalah seorang penulis dan pelukis asal Amerika Serikat. Karyanya yang terkenal antara lain Tropic of Cancer, Tropic of Capricorn, dan Black Spring. Ia juga menulis memoar perjalanan dan esai-esai yang berisi analisis dan kritik sastra.

Miller meninggal karena komplikasi peredaran darah di rumahnya di Pacific Palisades pada tanggal 7 Juni 1980, pada usia 88 tahun.^[1] Tubuhnya dikremasi dan abunya dibagikan kepada putranya Tony dan putrinya Val. Tony telah menyatakan bahwa dia pada akhirnya bermaksud agar abunya dicampur dengan abu ayahnya dan disebarkan di Big Sur.^[2]
