Apocalypsis Ioannis (Graece Ἀποκάλυψις Ἰωάννου, sc. Revelatio Ioannis) est ultimus liber ac solus propheticus Novi Testamenti. Scriptorem libri nonnulli antiqui tradunt eundem esse qui Ioannes apostolus, Zebedaei filius, quod autem dubitant eruditi nostri temporis, qui auctorem aliter ignotum Ioannem Patmi appellant. Liber fortasse in fine regni Domitiani, circa annum 95, compositus est.[1] In Apocalypse, Ioannes scribit se habere visionem sui magistri, Iesu Christi, qui ei monstrat quod eveniet cum perveniret finis mundi et ultimi iudicii: humanitas corrupta a peccatis (cuius symbolum est Babylon) peribit, sicut Diabolus, et erit aeternum regnum Dei, in quo omnes aeterne vivent.
