Fahrenheit 451 est titulus libri ab auctore Raimundo Bradbury scripti atque anno 1953 proditi. Argumentum fabulae narrat de civitate cuius incolae legere non possint et praecipue de cultu commentitio sine libris scientiaque sua. Quorum possessio efficit poenas dari per mortem de eis qui tales libros habeant. Quam per fabulam Bradbury conatus est lectoribus suis pericula auctoritatis imperiosioris describere cum edoceret eos qui aetate sua vivebant de minaciis inertiae imprudentiaeque pro quaque civitate. In conclusione fabulae tamen videt lector omnibus in civitatibus, narrat Bradbury, populum exstare ex turba plebis et, quibus libertatis cupido adpetenda sit, scientiam deprimi non posse; fieri non posse ut scientiae desiderium pervetitae numquam opprimendum sit.[1][2]
