Pistrinum est locus in quo frumentum et aliae fruges ante molarum trusatilium inventionem in pilis conterebantur: item post molas inventas omnis locus, in quo fruges molis circumactis, opera iumentorum, vel servorum, vel impulsu aquae, aut venti comminuebantur.[1] Hodie fruges plerumque molis electricis moluntur.
Pistrinum etiam significare potest pistrinam, locum in quo panis coquitur. In antiquitate saepe in uno loco frumentum molebatur et panis coquebatur.
