„Glasnost“ (rus. гласность, liet. viešumas) – Tarybų Sąjungos vykdyta politika atvirumui ir skaidrumui vyriausybinėse įstaigose pasiekti. „Glasnost“ XX a. devintojo dešimtmečio viduryje buvo inicijuota tuometinio TSRS vadovo Michailo Gorbačiovo.[1] „Glasnost“ yra dažnai painiojama su kita reforma, „Perestroika“, kuri taip pat kiek anksčiau inicijuota M. Gorbačiovo. Žodis „Glasnost“ Tarybų Sąjungos vadovo dažnai buvo vartojamas kaip tuo metu vykdytos politikos, siekusios sumažinti korupciją komunistų partijoje bei apriboti Centrinio komiteto galias, apibūdinimas.[2]

„Glasnost“ taip pat gali reikšti Tarybų Sąjungos istorijos periodą devintajame dešimtmetyje, kai buvo sušvelninta cenzūra bei padidėjusi žodžio laisvė.
