public key cryptography (syn.: asymmetric cryptography) (Mokėjimo ir atsiskaitymo sistemos) - a set of cryptographic techniques in which two different keys (private and public keys) are used for encrypting and decrypting data. The private key is kept secret by its holder while the public key is made available to communicating entities.
