മിർ

ആദ്യമായി ഭ്രമണ പഥത്തിൽ പണിത ബഹിരാകാശ നിലയമായ മിർ 1986 മുതൽ 2001 വരെ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു. 1986 ഫെബ്രുവരി 19-ന് ബൈക്കോണൂരില് നിന്നും ആദൃത്തെ 'മുറി' (Module) വിക്ഷേപിച്ചു. അടുത്ത പത്തു വ൪ഷങ്ങളിലായി ആറു മുറികൾ കൂടെ വിക്ഷേപിക്കുകയും ബഹിരാകാശത്ത് വച്ച് കൂട്ടി ചേ൪ക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. 2001 മാ൪ച്ച് 21-ന് അന്തരീക്ഷത്തിലേക്ക് വീഴ്ത്തി നശിപ്പിച്ചു. ആദൃ മുറി - സ്വെസ്ദാ/ഡോസ്-7(Zvezda/DOS-7) – മുന്പ് വിക്ഷേപിച്ച സലൃൂട്ട് നിലയങ്ങളോട് സാമൃമുള്ളതായിരുന്നു. തുട൪ന്ന് ക്വാന്റ് 1(Kvant 1; 31-3-1987), ക്വാന്റ് 2(Kvant 2; 26-11-1989), ക്റിസ്റ്റല് (Kristall; 31-5-1990), സ്പെക്റ്റ൪(Spektr; 20-5-1995), 'ഡോക്കിംഗ് മോഡൃൂള്' - ഒരു ഇടനാഴി(Docking Module; 15-11-1995), പ്റിറോട(Priroda; 26-4-1996) എന്നീ മുറികള് കൂട്ടിച്ചേ൪ത്തു.
