അറബ് രാജ്യങ്ങളിലും മദ്ധേഷ്യയിലും ഇന്ത്യയിലും പ്രചാരമുള്ള ഒരു മധുരപലഹാരമാണ്‌ ഹൽ‌വ. അറേബ്യയാണ്‌ ഇതിന്റെ ഉത്ഭവസ്ഥലം[അവലംബം ആവശ്യമാണ്]. ഹല്വ, ഹല്വ, ഹൽ‌വാഹ്, ഹെൽ‌വ, ഹൽ‌വാ, അലുവാ എന്നുമൊക്കെ പറയാറുണ്ട്. ശർക്കരയും നെയ്യും മൈദയോ ആട്ടയോ പോലുള്ള മാവും ചേർത്താണ്‌ ഇത് ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നത്.
