ဂိုအာပြည်နယ်သည် အိန္ဒိယကျွန်းဆွယ် အနောက်ဖက်ကမ်းခြေတွင် ရှိ၍ ပေါ်တူဂီတို့က ၁၅၁၀-ခုနှစ်တွင် သိမ်းပိုက်၍ အရှေ့တောင်အာရှရှိ ပေါ်တူဂီအင်ပါယာ၏ မြို့တော်အဖြစ် ပြုလုပ်ခဲ့သည်။ ပေါ်တူဂီဘုရင်ခံက အုပ်ချုပ်လျက် ရှိ၍ စတုရန်းမိုင် ၃၁၉၅၀ မိုင် ကျယ်ဝန်းသည်။ လူဦးရေ အားလုံးလိုလိုမှာ တိုင်းရင်းသား ဟိန္ဒူများသာဖြစ်သည်။ သံရိုင်းနှင့် မဂ္ဂနီ သတ္တုထွက်သည်။ သီဟိုဠ်သရက်စေ့၊ ဟင်းခတ်အမွေးအကြိုင်များကို ပို့ထုတ်သည်။ ပန်ဂျင်(နိုဗာဂိုအာ)မှာ မြို့တော်ဖြစ်သည်။^[၈]
