Bill Perkins

William Reese Perkins (22. juli 1924–9. august 2003) var ein USA-amerikansk cool jazz-saksofonist og fløytist som var populær i West Coast jazz-miljøet, der han hovudsakleg var kjend som tenorsaksofonist.^[1] Perkins byrja å spele i storbanda til Woody Herman og Jerry Wald. Han arbeidde for orkesteret til Stan Kenton, som førte til at han byrja å spele cool jazz. Han spelte så med Art Pepper og Bud Shank, før han vart medlem av The Tonight Show Band frå 1970 til 1992 og The Lighthouse All-Stars. I 1960-åra hadde Perkins ein parallell karriere som lydteknikar.^[2]
