John Byrne (fødd 6. januar 1940) er ein skotsk skodespelforfattar og kunstnar.

Frå 1964 til 1966 designa hans smussbind for Penguin Books. Sidan måla han fleire måleri og scenekuliseer for fleire teaterstykke.
Byrne har òg designa plateomslag for Donovan, The Beatles, Gerry Rafferty og Billy Connolly. Visesongaren Rafferty sin song «Patrick» er skriven om Byrne.
