Aveiro er en by og kommune i Portugal, og sete for distriktet ved samme navn. Selve byen har ca. 60 000 innbyggere, mens kommunen har 78 450 innbyggere (2011). Med sin beliggenhet, sentralt plassert på Portugals vestkyst mot Atlanterhavet, er Aveiro en viktig havneby. Byen Aveiro er også hovedstad i distriktet Aveiro, og er den største byen i Baixo Vouga, som er en underregion i Região Centro. Universitetet i Aveiro blir regnet som et av Portugals beste. Aveiro er også kjent som «Portugals Venezia», på grunn av sitt system av kanaler og båter som kan minne om den italienske byens.
