Jutulhogget er et 2,4 kilometer langt gjel i Alvdal og Rendalen i Østerdalen i Innlandet fylke, og er et av Nord-Europas lengste gjel. Det står på en liste over jordens 100 betydeligste geologiske formasjoner.

Formasjonen oppsto rett etter siste istid, for omtrent 10 400 år siden,[1] da den bredemte sjøen Nedre Glomsjø brøt ut under isen og dannet et nytt løp østover gjennom løsere bergmasser. En demning av is brast i løpet av kort tid, og det var flommen av smeltevann som gravde ut «hogget» i østlig retning – fra reservoaret i Østerdalen og østover gjennom fjellet og inn i Rendalen.
Det finnes mange sagn fra stedet. Det vanligste opphavssagnet handler om fiendskap mellom Rendalsjutulen og Elvdalsjutulen. Dette ble gjengitt i en billedbok av Helge Ness i 1978. Jacob Breda Bull gjengir et annet sagn i romanen Jutulskaret. Sagnet om Tater-Kristen ble filmatisert under tittelen Tater-Kristen i 1991.
I 2022 ble Jutulhogget satt på en liste over jordens 100 mest betydelige geologiske formasjoner av International Union of Geological Sciences.[2][3]
Et område på rundt 3,4 kvadratkilometer ble den 2. desember 1989 fredet som Jutulhogget naturreservat.[4]
I Norge er det flere mellomstore canyoner. Sautso ved Alta er den mest kjente i Norge. Den er ca. 400–425 meter dyp og 7,5 km lang og ligger øverst i Altaelva i Finnmark. Alta canyon er Nord-Europas største canyon.
