Kapellet er oppført av tømmer og har 150 plasser.
Alterbildet er malt av O.C. Bærøe. Kongshavn kapell overtok i 1965 orgelet fra Tromøy kirke. Det er bygget av orgelbygger Brynhildsrud i Moss rundt forrige århundreskifte, og er det eneste gjenværende instrument som fortsatt kan høres av denne orgelbyggeren.
Kongshavn kapell er ikke lenger i ordinær bruk, og det har vært forslag om å rive det. I 2019 ble kapellet solgt.[1]
