Kenneth G. Wilson

Kenneth Geddes Wilson (født 8. juni 1936, død 15. juni 2013^[8]) var en amerikansk fysiker. Han ble tildelt Wolfprisen i 1980 og nobelprisen i fysikk i 1982. Nobelprisen fikk han «for sin teori for kritiske fenomen ved faseoverganger»

Nobelprisen i fysikk 1982

Wilson er utdannet fra Harvard University, og tok en filosofisk doktorgrad ved California Institute of Technology i 1961 med Murray Gell-Mann som veileder. Wilson begynte forskerkarrièren ved Cornell University, der han ble professor i 1970. Siden 1988 har han vært ansatt som professor ved Ohio State University.
