Mark Twain (pseudonim literari de Samuel Langhorne Clemens) foguèt un important escrivan e romancièr dels Estats Units d'America durant lo sègle XIX. Twain es particularament conegut gràcias a sos romans Las Aventuras d'Huckleberry Finn e Las Aventuras de Tom Sawyer, e tanben per sas nombrosas citacions.
