Ibb (or Abb) (Arabic: إب) is a ceety in Yemen, the caipital o Ibb Govrenorate, situatit on a muntain ridge, surroondit bi fertile land an is kent as "The Green Ceety". It is locatit aboot 73 mile (117 km) north-east o Mocha. Ibb wis govrened bi a semi-autonomous emir till 1944, when the emirate wis abolished. The population is 160,000 (2005).
