Alexander Mikhaylovich Prokhorov, or Aleksandr Mikhailovich Prokhorov,^[1] (Roushie: Алекса́ндр Миха́йлович Про́хоров; 11 Julie 1916 – 8 Januar 2002) wis a Soviet pheesicist kent for his pioneerin research on lasers an masers for which he shared the Nobel Prize in Pheesics in 1964 wi Charles Hard Townes an Nikolay Basov.
