Basma (Arabic: بسم‎, Hebrew: בסמ"ה‎‎) is an Israeli-Arab local cooncil locatit in the Wadi Ara aurie o the Haifa Destrict. The local cooncil wis formit in 1995 throu the consolidation o the veelages o Barta'a West, Ein as-Sahala, an Muawiya; Basma is an acronym o the veelages' names. Accordin tae the Israel Central Bureau o Statistics, the locality haed a population o 7,900 at the end o 2005.^[1]
